Dr. Spencer graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences and mathematics, under the pre-medicine track from Western Colorado University in Gunnison. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from the A.T. At Greater Michigan Spine & Neurosurgery, Dr. Spencer and the team offer minimally invasive techniques, laser, and regenerative medicine treatments for back pain, neck pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and herniated discs. The team takes a conservative approach to care and turns to surgery as a last resort. If surgery is needed, Dr. Spencer is experienced in minimally invasive procedures and focuses on shorter hospital stays so patients can return to work quicker.

Dr. Spencer is a member of the North American Spine Society and the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He is currently a neurosurgeon at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan, and McLaren Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.

Outside of work, Dr. Spencer enjoys coaching hockey and soccer.
